In a recent conversation with a client, so was telling me about how she felt her stress levels were heightened due to a busy period at work, a sick family member and poor sleep.
She was going to visit her doctor to have her cortisol (stress hormone) levels tested. My question – so how is this going to change the situation? Let’s say your suspicions are correct and your cortisol is high. You know why it’s high, so how will confirming this with a blood test help? Her reply: “Isn’t there a drug for that?”
