My Cholesterol (comprehensive) Screening
About My Cholesterol (comprehensive) Screening
This includes:
- Total Cholesterol
- Triglycerides
- HDL cholesterol (protective)
- LDL cholesterol (atherogenic)
- Lipoprotein (a) - High Lp(a) levels are especially dangerous if you have a family history of heart disease.
- Apolipoprotein B (Apo B) - high levels are linked to an increased risk of CVD.
- Apolipoprotein A (Apo A1) - the main protein in HDL (protective)
- apoB/apoA-I ratio - The ratio is a strong predictor of risk for atherosclerotic CVD.
This provides further information to determine your risk of cardiovascular disease, both from a genetic perspective and the LDL particle size.
Please note: this testing can take >10 days to analyse and receive your laboratory report.
