I had success with the AstonRx program in 2019, but then retired and was stuck at home during covid lockdowns ... boredom eating was a real issue and those covid kilos were slowly killing me. I got to the heaviest I'd ever been in my life, but finally in early 2025 after clearing some really stressful things out of my personal life, I re-joined and have had amazing success. After 10 months following the eating plan in the program (which is delicious by the way, with a heap of seriously mouthwatering chef recipes available), working with a PT twice a week, doing clinical reformer pilates once a week with a physiotherapist, significantly increasing my step count (from a really low base) walking almost every day, and being "hijacked" by a massive flare up of osteo arthritis in my knee which reduced my step count down to a really low base again for about 6 weeks, I've now recovered really well, have avoided knee replacement surgery, and have lost a total of 33kg, with only another 3 or 4kg to go to reach my revised goal (I raced past my initial goal a couple of months ago). Not saying I haven't had a few hiccups along the way, but it's easy to get back onto the straight and narrow with this program and even with those few hiccups I've consistently lost weight almost every week. I now have a better understanding than ever before of how my body works, what insulin resistance is and how it impacts my weight and my overall health. Even better than the weight loss though, my visceral fat has reduced from 15 to 9, my BMI has dropped from 46.5% to 27.5%, I've lost a total of 79cm (bust, waist and hips combined) and my metabolic age has dropped by 29 years!!! I've literally had friends almost walk past me in the street, saying the change in me has made me almost unrecognisable! I sing my praises of Donna and her team to anyone who'll listen, and would recommend this program to anyone wanting to lose weight and improve their overall health.
