You Are What You Think!

It’s life changing in the very best way to become healthy.


You can suddenly do more, feel more social, outgoing and confident. You may want new clothes, a new haircut or start wanting to hike through every national park!

Living life to the full needs a well-functioning body but it comes with some major mindset shifts as well. It doesn’t mean you have to have it all worked out before you start my program but, if you haven’t already, you’ll likely start thinking differently about yourself and your place in the world as your health improves.

If one of the reasons you keep delaying the healthy path is that your mind isn’t in the right place, let me make it easier for you with some of the life lessons I’ve learned in my 30 years of meeting people who want a better life and guiding them through the process.

Fundamental to change is the way you think. I can give you all the science and knowledge in the world to convince you that this program works but your mind needs to get with the program too. We can change some of our behaviour naturally through biology such as insulin resistance, gut dysbiosis, stress and sleep, but it’s also about looking at our core beliefs.

Whether you believe you can or believe you can’t you’re right because you are what you think. Thoughts are actions so let’s work on the thoughts:

1. Make a list of all habits and sort them by how much they help you and then connect new habits to existing ones. Remember that most bad habits provide instant gratification and long term regret. Good habits tend to produce longer term results

2. Be kind to yourself. You wouldn’t judge or criticise your friends when they slip up so don’t do it to yourself either. Be your own friend and be kind to yourself.

3. Acknowledge your daily successes.

4. Remember who you are. Decide what type of person you want to be and take small steps to reinforce your identity. Always honour your identity.

5. It’s the journey, not the destination. Embrace the journey or the process rather than the end goal or destination. Then, you don’t have to wait to be happy.

6. Watch the language. Don’t be limited by saying 'I never…' or 'I always…' or 'It’s just what I do…' If you believe those patterns, they will stay in place even when the evidence proves otherwise.
